Three photos of the day : a frozen lake on fire

I said it's not over
till it's over
let me see the clouds hanging over you
I closed my eyes
drifting in your world
in your sky ( was it dark or bright? oh it was so very dark)
as the citizen shadow
following every thought of yours
(I couldn't help it
I had to do it)
you held my hand tight (or was it me?)
secretly
I sensed how lonesome you were all the time
my heart broke in pieces
tender nights were gone, before they ever got here
I thought
maybe it's over before it even had a chance to start
I thought
there goes my baby (was she ever my baby? maybe not)
.
I said come closer
you leaned on me, your face buried in my chest
your world became mine
in that moment
while we were floating in the air
.
my beautiful dreamer
you are free
go away, do whatever you want to do
you'll have a warm heart waiting for you
right here with an impression of your face
tattooed on it, igniting a fire for you
.
I never told you those words
I wonder if you understood them
from the rhythm of my heart beats
or from the shivering of my finger tips
.
it is burning hot
under this chest
in the middle of this cold season
in the middle of this frozen lake
