Game of shadow and light

To see and photograph shadows could be as important as seeing and appreciating light.

and it could easily become an over powering desire to find them all the time.

Of course balancing the two is the key, and a challenge which might take a life time to be achieved and to fine tuned.

A learning experience that is never going to stop.
(Model: Miss N. , Films: Kodak and Ilford both 400 ISO.)

Shooting an apple...

Apples are kind of sneaky little fruits.

at one minute, they could be just sitting there

the next minute, they could be twirling around themselves, really fast

and then they might even try to fly

or worse, running away!

either way, photographing them could become similar to sport photography and rather exciting!

Photographed using a roll of 400 ISO Ilford film.

Voyeurism

Concept of Voyeurism in art and literature is much older than its visualization in photography and cinema, however there is no question that it has reached to new depths and dimensions in those mediums.

Probably one of the most famous and exciting examples could be seen in Alfred Hitchcock's "Rear Window" .

Although watching any film, play etc. could be considered of such an act as well...since we are viewing other's actions from the dark without a direct interactions with the actual happenings in front of our eyes...we are gaining information about them without giving out much about ourselves.

The reasons behind our fascination with voyeurism could vary of course but curiosity, insecurities, loneliness, romanticism are part of them usually.

Observing a beautiful woman dressing up without being judged by her, can give us a freedom to be who we are while appreciating a fantasy. (Models: Miss C. and Miss L. )

...or to watch a couple fighting and making up in a film, could be the an exciting event and a happy ending that we've probably been craving for, in our personal lives. (Street Photography)

You can of course find numerous examples of such approaches in fashion photography as well...perhaps more than any other concept in modern editorial fashion spreads. (Model: Miss L. )

But of course, you can be voyeur even during a face to face conversation, simply by trying to break out of your usual preconceived understanding of people and trying to observe them truly for who they are during those very moments...and you might find it a very rewarding experience.(Model: Miss L. )

Either way...we can't get enough of it....after all it seems like, The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence.
